TriWinds is founded on a collaborative, holistic, and interdisciplinary model. Founded by a cultural anthropologist, an educator, and a natural resources specialist in 2008, the cornerstone of our work rests on the belief that in order to have lasting solutions to the world's most pressing problems, we need to see things from diverse perspectives and foster participation among many different people.
Without grassroots participation and collaboration, change has no foothold and no heart. It is in homes and communities that lasting cultural change occurs- passed down through generations. Without scientific research and policy, change has no institutional support. It is in social structure that cultural change is supported by resources that nurture individual and local effort.
